My friend, Wallis from graduate school got married on Saturday and it came so quickly! I could not believe how quickly it came and through all the festivities everyone had a fabulous time and celebrated her marriage to Tom. On Thursday, we got to celebrate her bachelorette party. I got to meet a lot of people and enjoyed myself immensly. We started off by going to the restuarant Mexico City and enjoyed the food and the margaritas. After dinner, we made our way to the Jumbo Clown room, where there were a bunch of women exotic dancers dancing on the stage. While we were watching the girls dance, we got Wallis a lap dance, which was awesome! While we were sitting and watching the dancers, supposedly there was a guy who was checking me out... Why did I not notice? Oh well! Afterwards, the remaining girls went to a dance club and enjoyed ourselves by taking a photo in the photo booth and dancing the night away! I finally made it back home by 3 in the morning! :-) On the day of the wedding, I was excited to celebrate her wedding. The wedding was held at a friend's house and the layout was wonderful! She had a unusual wedding ceremony full of theatre acts and comedy acts! It was a wonderful wedding ceremony! During the reception, we all enjoyed ourselves by chatting, dancing and toasting the happy couple! Tags: wallis wedding! Current Mood: cheerful

I just came back from a trip from Pittsburgh and I had a fabulous time in the city of Pittsburgh. It was a nice mini reunion I had with my old friends from middle school. I am really surprised that I actually kept in touch with my friends for so long. While I was in Pittsburgh, I got to hang out with my friends, Gabe and Jeff. It was absolutely wonderful to hang out with both of them. I arrived on July 24th in Pittsburgh at around 6 pm. After that, I went out to dinner with Gabe. I was a little tired, so I was not really up for doing something so fun! So we just relaxed and even called our old friend Jeff and found out that he would join us on a vacation to Pittsburgh. I actually did not expect Jeff to come to Pittsburgh, but I was actually quite glad that he decided to come to Pittsburgh and join in on the fun! After calling Jeff and figuring the flight information, we decided to watch Kikki's delivery. I have not seen that in so long... Afterwards I got so exhausted, I just fell asleep. On Saturday before Jeff arrived at the Pittsburgh, we took a walk around Carnegie Mellon and Schnley Park. It was a nice walk and I was glad that it did not rain at all. After picking Jeff up from the airport, we went to trader Joes, and got back to Gabe's house, Jeff decided to cook dinner. We all helped him prep for the meal. It was a nice thing to cook together! He made Pork Chops, Salmon, and even Salad. We had wine with dinner and it was a nice dinner to celebrate all of us hanging out together again! Afterwards, we had to show Jeff Totoro since he had not seen it yet. While we were watching it, Jeff had to critique the movie. After all he is a English professor at Harvard University! We then just sat and talked and even did some Wii in the wee hours of the morning! On Sunday, all of us got the chance to enjoy Falling Water. Falling Water is a building that Frank Lloyd Wright built and the house is over a stream of water. It was such a beautiful building! After wards, we did some miniature golf. I have not done miniature golf in so long. :-) it was all in good times! For dinner, we decided to eat Waffles and afterwards we burned off the calories by doing some Wii Fit. Afterwards, Jeff started a game Portal which lasted until at least 5 in the morning. On Monday, we went to a very interesting place for lunch. It was a sandwich place that had fries and coleslaw in the sandwich. The restaurant was called Primanti's and I was surprised that I enjoyed the sandwich, because I usually do not like coleslaw at all. It was such a huge sandwich. Afterwards, we went to the Carnegie Museum of Art. It was a nice museum... I certainly liked the glass windows! Jeff started playing Portal again until about 9 and we went a church that turned itself into a Brewery! It was such a sight to see. We had pizza and Jeff and I had beer samplers which had about 8 cups of beer. It was really crazy! I could only drink about 5 of the glasses! When we came back, we played Wii bowling and I beat the boys again! HEHE! I got a score of 147! I could never get that in regular bowling! On Tuesday, we were determined to get up early and get out of the house before noon, but alas that did not happen. We decided to make crapes and after eating we made our way to Phillips conservatory and saw a bunch of trees and flowers! It was very interesting. There were even sculptures of flowers and alliens! Jeff had to go back to Boston, and after wards Gabe and I played Wii Sports resort. There were many interesting sports including cycling, canoing, archery, and so on. On Wednesday, I got the chance to see downtown Pittsburgh and I went to the Andy Warhol Museum. It was quite interesting. There was a part which the voice kept saying my name and they were refering to Yoko Ono, which was quite interesting. Later that day, we cooked together. I made salmon and he was in charge of shrimps and we had a nice farewell dinner with a lot of wine! After dinner we watched a french musical and castle in the sky. For my last day, we had lunch at spice island. I was surprised that there was burmese food at the resturant. Afterwards I went to the airport and found out the flight was delayed, so I had to wait for at least 4 hours and finally made it back to LA by 11:30 pm. I had a fantastic time in Pittsburgh! I had a very nice and enjoyable memorial weekend. On Friday, I relaxed with my parents and enjoyed spending time with my parents! :-D I usually remember why I am living on my own, but lately I prefer spending time with my parents. That is a sign that I need to move out! In July, I plan to move out! I wonder where I will move too! On Saturday, one of my friends had a birthday party and I had a enjoyable time hanging out with friends. We started the festivities at her new apartment for pre drinks and then we made ourselves to the Bungalowe club. The club had a great vibe and we all enjoyed ourselves dancing and drinking. I ended up being the designated driver, so I did not have to pay for a drink, which was very cool! I enjoyed myself and ended up falling asleep at around 2 in the morning! The next day, I slept in and relaxed. Later on, I saw star trek with a friend of mine. We were both not expecting not to enjoy it, but surprisingly we enjoyed the movie! :-D On Monday, I loved being able to sleep in! I studied a little and then I got to see a friend of mine and we walked along venice beach. I did not realize that it would be so crowded, but it was a great day to walk venice beach with a friend! Hope everyone had a nice and relaxing memorial weekend! Current Mood: rejuvenated Current Music: Guys and Dolls

My friend Jesse and I decided to host a bowling night and my friends and I had loads of fun! It was just nice to unwind with great friends! Judy, Alan, Meghan, Jesse, David, and Fred all came to unwind and bowl. We all laughed and had a great time! :-) I was not expecting to get a high score, but regardless we all enjoyed each other's good company. Each time I go bowling, I just feel like a dork, but have fun playing the game! :D The great thing about the bowling alley in Mar Vista was that we get to play until 1 non stop for a price of only 20.00 whch is a great price. We all played till 1 in the morning and had a lovely time playing with each other. I got home at 2 in the morning and could not believe that bowling went so late, but it was loads of fun! Before bowling, we all ate dinner at Islands in Marina and had a lot of hamburgers and conversed about various things. In other news, I finally got a new car! It is a Toyota Camry and I am having a great time riding the car! I went to the dealership looking for a toyota corolla, but the camry actually fit my personality! I really like the car! I really am lucky that I still get to have spring break! This year I decided to take the chance to enjoy myself and went to Pennsylvania and New York City. It was not a long trip, but still I enjoyed myself! It was a bit chilly and cold and I felt like I was ready to blow away, but still good to be on the east coast! After landing in Philadelphia early in the morning, I took a stroll along the city of Philadelphia and saw many of the city's landmarks including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Ben Franklin's Tomb, etc. It was very nice to take a stroll in the city of Philadelphia even though it was so windy and my hair was blowing all over the place. I did not get the chance to really enjoy all of Philadelphia, but I was able to enjoy the majority of what the city had to offer and saw the l andmarks of the founding fathers! At about 330 pm, I had to take a bus from Philadelphia to State College. It was a 4 hour drive, and since I was tired, I decided to sleep on the bus since I did not get much sleep on the red eye! Finally, I arrived in state college, and I met up with my friend Izumi who is studying abroad at Penn State. It was great to see her. The next day, she gave me a tour of Penn state and the area of downtown. Later at night, she took me to the International Festival held at her school in which various groups from different countries danced. There was a Malysian group, an Belly dance group, and so on. It was interesting to see the various dances. The next day, I had to get up early to take another bus to get to New York City. Once at New York City, it was raining so hard that I was not in the mood to really sight see much in the city. I was planning on seeing a friend from AKP, but that did not happen, since my phone decided to die at the time that we were planning to meet. I did not realize how we rely on cell phones so much in this day! Maybe next time, I will be able to meet her. The next day, it was not raining at all, so I had the opportunity to see the places that I wanted to see in the city. I woke up early and walked around Central Park and saw a bunch of dogs walking in Central Park. Afterwards, I went toward Battery and was able to see the Statue of Liberty from afar. Maybe next time, I will take a ferry to see it up close but the line was way tooooooooo long for me! After lunch, I tried to find the birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt, but I could not find the building and instead walked around the city and ended up at Strands bookstore for a while until I had to meet a friend of mine for coffee. It was great meeting a friend for coffee and we just talked and people watched which was fun! Afterwards, I met up with a obie and we had dinner and talked about all things going on in our life. Last time I was in New York I met up with her. It is always fun to see her while I am in New York! Finally, I got back to LA at night on wednesday. It was a nice short trip! Current Mood: chipper

Surprisingly, I have been able to get to many places without a car! :-) I have been pleasantly surprised by that, since LA is really a city that requires you to get around in a car! It has been nice to get around in a bus and not worry! Without a car, I have been able to enjoy work and even enjoy the company of my lovely friends! On Friday, I met up with Evelyn in Westwood. :-) We took a stroll around westwood, which was nice since I have not been to westwood in such a long time, even though it is close to where I live. It is so funny that I have not been in this community in a while! We went window shopping and even went to Diddi Resse and had the ice cream cookie sandwiches and chatted. We both could not be out long, since at the present moment we are both without cars! It was still a nice day to hang out with a friend after work! On Saturday, I got the chance to really sleep in and did not get up until about 930 am. I was surprised that I slept in so late! :-D Later on, I got to meet up with a couple of friends at Century City. I met up with Judy, Alan, David, Evelyn, Sandy, and Fred. We all first met up at Pink Taco and had dinner. I heard about that place and finally I got the chance to eat there! After dinner, David, Evelyn, Sandy, Fred, and I decided to watch the movie I love you, man. Before the movie, I thought that I would not like it, but surprisingly I actually found the movie amusing and it was nice to be entertained! After the movie, we all sat down and just chatted for a while! It was nice to hang out with each other. I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Current Mood: cheerful Current Music: 93.1 Jack FM
